Bautista Wants Money

Toronto Blue Jays right field slugger Jose Bautista is asking for a five year $150 million contract extension to play for the Blue Jays. Bautista's contract will expire next year.

This $150 million contract extension would give him $30 million per year, and it would make him one of the most top paid position players in the MLB. This past year he hit 40 home runs and led the Blue Jays to their first playoff appearance since 1993.

As a Blue Jays fan I think he is a really good player but I think he's getting to old that he's not worth $30 million per year. I think he is worth $20 million per year.

Rams Cut Three Veterans

The Los Angeles Rams have released three veterans. James Laurinaitis, Jared Cook, and Chris Long. In these cuts the Rams now have $24 million in salary cap space. James Laurinaitis has been with the Rams since he was drafted in the first round in 2009, and Jared Cook has been with the Rams since 2013 when he was cut by the Titans. Chris Long has been with the rams since 2008 when he was drafted in the first round.

As a Rams fan I'm alright with these cuts because James Laurinaitis was just a terrible middle linebacker this year, because he didn't really do anything good this year. I'm also alright with the Jared Cook release because he dropped the ball so many times this year that I will not miss him. Chris Long was okay but he was always hurt so overall I'm alright with these cuts.http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/14807674/los-angeles-rams-release-james-laurinaitis-chris-long-jared-cook

Jared Allen calls It A Career

12 year NFL Defensive End veteran Jarred Allen is calling it a career. He led the league in sacks in 2007 and 2011. In his career he had 136 career sacks. He was a fourth round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs. He has been to the Pro Bowl five times and Super Bowl once recently with the Carolina Panthers where they lost. He has been with four teams in his career the Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, and the Carolina Panthers.

I feel that the NFL is losing a legend and that he will be in the hall of fame soon because he is a really good defensive player.

Super Bowl 50

This Sunday the biggest game of the NFL season is taking place, Super bowl 50. This Super bowl is the 50th anniversary of the first Super bowl. The two teams facing off for this Super bowl are the Carolina Panthers, and the Denver Broncos.

The Carolina Panthers record this year was 15-1, The best in the entire NFL. The Denver Broncos record was 12-4 the best record in the AFC west. The game will be played in Levi Stadium home of the San Francisco 49ers. This years halftime show will include Coldplay, Beyonce, and Bruno Mars. The National anthem will be sung by Lady Gaga.

I think that Carolina Panthers will take an early lead and never look back as the panthers will win 38-17 and Cam Newton will throw for 3 touchdown passes, and will win his first career Super bowl.

NFC Divisional Round

http://prod.static.panthers.clubs.nfl.com/assets/images/tickets/header-psls.jpgOn Sunday the Carolina Panthers were storming through the Seattle Seahawks right off the getco. The Panthers led early with a 59 yard rush by Jonathan Stewart on the first play of the game, that led to an easy score for the Panthers. The following drive Russell Wilson was hurried and threw a bad pass right to Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly and he picked him off and returned it to the house. By the end of the half it was 31-0 Carolina. After the half the Seahawks received the ball. The Seahawks rallied back to score 2 touchdowns in the first 7 minutes of the third quarter to cut the lead to 31-14. A few moments later the Seahawks scored a 3 yard touchdown. With 1 minute left the Seahawks got a 36 yard field goal to make it a 1 touchdown game. It came down to an onside kick and pro bowl linebacker Thomas Davis hauled in the onside kick to seal the deal for the Panthers to give the Panthers a 31-24 win to advance them to the conference finals to play the Arizona Cardinals In Carolina. http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2016011700/2015/POST19/seahawks@panthers#menu=gameinfo%7CcontentId%3A0ap3000000624496&tab=recap&recap=fullstory

NFL comes back to LA

Yesterday the St. Louis Rams moved to Los Angeles to become the LA Rams. I'm a huge Rams fan. I think this a good move by the Rams because they really didn't shine in St. Louis except for the year they won the Super Bowl. I think they also moved because they didn't have a very big fan base. I went to a game in St. Louis against the Vikings and the stadium was half full of Vikings fans. The Rams were originally in Los Angeles until they moved to St. Louis in 1995. Hopefully they will get a bigger fan base in Los Angeles.
